Studienkolleg is a form of preparatory courses for those willing to Bachelor study at a German university.

For every indian students must have to fulfill the entry requirement for admission at a german university, In india we have 12 years school period but in germany it is 13 years. So 13th year is called studienkolleg in germany.

A Studienkolleg is an educational institution which helps foreign school graduates who are interested in studying in Germany. It builds a bridge between school graduation and university and/or university of applied sciences.

State Studienkolleg have two semesters and it’s almost free of cost so you do not have to pay any tuition fees in public or state Studienkolleg.

Private Studienkolleg charges different tuitions fees but they have a large number of seat available so the student can easily get a place but student have to check that private Studienkolleg states recognize or not because without state reorganization student cannot apply in all German university.

Studienkollegs are divided into five specialized areas of applicants’ preparation.

After successful completing the T-Course students have the possibility to study one of the following study courses at a university and/or university of applied sciences in Germany:

  • Manufacturing systems engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Construction engineering
  • Materials and process engineering
  • Industrial/ production engineering

  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Mathematics

After successful completing the M-Course students have the possibility to study one of the following study courses at a university and/or university of applied sciences in Germany:

  • Applied biomedical sciences
  • Biochemistry
  • Biophysics
  • Biosystems technology
  • Science of nutrition
  • Molecular biology
  • Medicine and biomedical sciences
  • Medicine technology
  • Psychology
  • Pharmacy
  • Human, dental or veterinary medicine

After successful completing the W-Course students have the possibility to study one of the following study courses at a university and/or university of applied sciences in Germany:

  • Social sciences
  • Sociology
  • Law
  • Economics
  • Business administration
  • Political economics
  • European economy
  • Political sciences
  • Actuarial science/ Insurance industry
  • Business and Human Resource Education

After successful completing the S-Course students have the possibility to study one of the following study courses at a university and/or university of applied sciences in Germany:

  • Foreign languages (translators or interpreters)
  • Classical philology
  • Linguistics
  • Religious studies
  • Law studies

After successful completing the G-Course students have the possibility to study one of the following study courses at a university and/or university of applied sciences in Germany:
